Some houses you visit, and some houses you feel. Quinta do Tesouro belongs to the latter. It is in Almancil, just a few minutes from Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo.
It is a classic Portuguese villa, ready to move into, surrounded by 17,008 m² of private parkland. Finding this much space in the area is rare: most luxury villas stand on plots of 1,500 to 2,500 m². Here you have around eight times more, all to yourself.
You enter through a private gate and follow a driveway between gardens and olive trees to the house. Whitewashed walls, terracotta roofs and traditional architecture, renovated in 2025 with today’s light, comfort and space.
There are 385 m² over two floors, with underfloor heating and air conditioning throughout the house.
The living room has high ceilings, warm stone floors and doors that open onto the veranda and the courtyard. In winter, the closed wood-burning fireplace becomes the family’s meeting point. There are two dining areas: an informal one next to the kitchen, for every day, and a dining room overlooking the garden, for long dinners with friends. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances and has a pantry and a separate laundry room.
There are four spacious suites with fitted wardrobes.
The master suite has a large private terrace facing the sunset and a bathroom with a freestanding bathtub and a view. Across the courtyard is a separate 50 m² studio with a vaulted ceiling. It can be a fifth bedroom for guests, a cinema, a gym, an office overlooking the garden or a nanny suite.
The heart of the house is a cobbled courtyard, sheltered around an old olive tree. At the end of the day, the lights come on among the silver leaves and every dinner feels like a celebration.
Outside is a resort all your own, away from prying eyes. It includes a heated swimming pool with a heat pump, a six-person jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, terraces with integrated sound, a fire pit area and a barbecue. The gardens are what stays in the memory: expansive lawns, a pond with a fountain and fruit trees. There are olive, fig, almond and carob trees, orange, mandarin, lemon, pomegranate and avocado trees, and even a mango tree. For the little ones there is a trampoline, a swing and endless lawn. All irrigation is automatic and supplied by a private borehole.
The property is fully fenced, with a gate, video intercom, alarm and CCTV. It also includes home automation, a central music system, double glazing, a carport, mains water, a borehole, a well and a cistern. It is south-facing and has a B− energy rating.
Everything is close by. MAR Shopping and IKEA are 4 minutes away, Quinta do Lago 8 minutes, Nobel International School 10 minutes, Vale do Lobo and Faro Private Hospital 11 minutes, Faro International Airport 12 minutes and the beaches 14 minutes. Around you are 38 golf courses and more than 75 restaurants.
Space, light and privacy at the centre of the Golden Triangle. A rare home, for those who know the difference.
